In June I made a stop on the first night of a recent trip to an area I spent a lot of time visiting a few years back. It’s just a wee bit off the beaten path land in Central California. It’s such a different environment than the mountains and forests I typically spend time in, but one I also enjoy. It requires a bit of patience and bit more of tuning in to the surroundings.
I car camped for the night up in the hills and took in the long sunrise early the next morning. I’m always filled with sense of wonder and curiosity and excitement when I start any trip (leaving that hum drum of the typical everyday in the rear view mirror) and I let the mind roam a bit and drifted into the sounds around me before I headed North.
